Painter grounded as five-star Heath beat Chichester

Broadbridge Heath put in a five-star showing against Chichester City to ease to back-to-back league wins on Tuesday night.

The Bears won 5-2 at the Leisure Centre over a City side who have enjoyed a competitive start to the season.

Bob Godfrey volleyed in the opening goal in the third minute before Chi equalised through Kieran Hartley on ten minutes.

Ollie Moore made it 2-1 after 26 minutes, while Merv Bhujun beat the keeper to the ball to score their third before tapping-in their fourth. Hartley pulled another goal back for Chichester on the hour.

Andrade then netted Heath’s fifth goal on 64 minutes, chesting down a free-kick in the box, swivelling and shooting into the bottom corner of the net.

Heath manager Steve Painter said: “We are keeping our feet on the ground but so far, so good.”
