Parris set to ring changes

Bexhill United boss Darrol Parris will be ringing the changes for the John O’Hara League Cup quarter-final at Peacehaven & Telscombe tonight (Wednesday).

With the extended bad weather breaks over the winter, as well as the injury problems he’s faced within his squad, Parris is keen to make changes and give certain players some match practice.

Casey Ham will again feature from the start, while Nathan Tudor, Martin Denny, Andy Garman, Lewis Parsons, Gavin Bourne, Aaron Parris and Tom Morton are all expected to feature.

“We need to get some of these guys back playing,” Parris said. “You can’t beat match practice. Casey will definitely play. I’ve felt sorry for him lately as he’s just returning from a serious knock and we’ve had to throw him straight back into first team action. Hopefully with each week he can get fitter though.”

The Pirates, who are seventh in Sussex County Football League Division Two, go into the game off the back of a 2-2 draw at home to Wick on Saturday when they played with 10 men for 30 minutes after George Aston was sent-off.

Peacehaven are second in Division One having lost just once in the league all season. Although they drew away to Crowborough Athletic at the weekend, they were only edged out after extra-time by Hastings United in a Sussex Senior Cup tie last week.
