THOUSANDS of football fans from across Sussex cheered on Brighton & Hove Albion at their victory parade on Sunday (May 8).

The Seagulls won League One with 95 points this season and they celebrated with an open-top bus ride through Hove and Brighton, which ended at Madeira Drive, where the players were introduced to the crowd one-by-one by coach Charlie Oatway.

Speeches were also made by manager Gus Poyet and chairman Tony Bloom, who revealed that Albion will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the first game at the club’s new American Express Community Stadium on July 30.
