Plum tie awaits Common

Common were given a trip to Eastbourne Borough in the draw for the Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup last 16, which was broadcast by BBC Sussex and on Twitter yesterday (Saturday) evening.

Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two team Common will be up against a Borough team which plays its football four levels higher up the non-league pyramid in Vanarama Conference South.

Hastings United, meanwhile, will be at home to fellow Ryman Football League Division One South outfit Burgess Hill Town if they can get the better of AFC Uckfield Town in a second round tie which will now be played at The Pilot Field on Monday December 1.

Colin Wills, director of competition sponsors Parafix, drew the home teams and Mathew Major, chairman of the Sussex County FA, drew the away teams. Fixtures are to be played on or before Wednesday December 10.
