Pompey ready to let Buzsaky depart

The Hungarian winger has indicated he wishes to leave Fratton Park for a higher division.

And Guy Whittingham will not stand in his way as he seeks to strengthen other areas of his playing squad.

Buzsaky was not considered for the 18-man squad that faced Leyton Orient last night.

Despite recovering from a hamstring injury, he was also absent from the weekend defeat to Doncaster Rovers.

Pompey are keen to bolster their playing ranks ahead of tomorrow’s emergency loan window deadline.

The potential departure of Buzsaky would free up a space and also allow other areas to be strengthened.

It is that situation which will make the former QPR man’s potential departure satisfactory for both parties.

The Hungarian has failed to sparkle sufficiently in eight appearances for the Blues, despite playing in the Premier League last season.

But having signed an initial month-long deal on October 1, Buzsaky will have to be loaned out. Alternatively, his contract could be cancelled by mutual consent, rendering him a free agent.

Regardless, he is now on the look out for a new club before tomorrow’s 5pm deadline.

Whittingham was quizzed about Buzsaky’s future after last night’s 3-2 defeat to Leyton Orient.

When asked whether the midfielder would be one of those he would be willing to let go, the Blues’ caretaker manager replied: ‘He might be.’

Meanwhile, Pompey are closing in on a loan move for Alex Cisak. The Oldham keeper is pencilled in to replace Mikkel Andersen, who has now returned to Reading.

Whittingham added: ‘Hopefully our new keeper will be training with us tomorrow.’
