Horsham YMCA stretched their unbeaten start in the league to five games in spectacular style on Saturday; thumping bottom of the table Hailsham Town 9-0 at Gorings Mead.

The win was YM’s biggest yet under manager Peter Buckland, and came courtesy of a Dave Brown hat-trick, braces apiece from Liam Hunter and Dan Sullivan, and further strikes from Dan Evans and the recently re-signed Nick Sullivan.

The YM boss said: “It was a good all-round performance. A lot of people will look at the table and think that it was a done deal. If I’m being honest, the victory should have been a done deal, but you can only beat what is put in front of you, and our display was emphatic.”
