After Omar Bugiel committed his future to the club by signing a one-year deal last month, goalkeeper Jack Fagan, full-backs Will Hendon and Harvey Sparks and striker Lloyd Dawes have now penned deals for next season.

More of last season’s squad are also set to sign contracts with the Ryman League South Division club and Hinshelwood said: “We wanted to reward the youngsters for their loyalty last season and it’s also in the best interests of the club.

“Clubs in higher leagues and at pro level have looked at our players. We don’t want to stand in their way but, hopefully, with Worthing, the players can climb the leagues and they’ll get their opportunity.

“It’s exciting looking ahead to next season already and knowing that I’ve got these players to work with for a full season.

“We’ve got such a good team spirit and camaraderie, so I’ve got to make sure I bring in the right characters.

“I’ve got towards double figures in terms of new players who want to come to pre-season, so everything is looking very promising.”

On the quartet signing one-year deals, Hinshelwood said: “It’s great to have them all committed to the club as it shows the direction that the club wants to go.

“I’m looking forward to working with them all two times a week on the 3G pitch to see how they all come on.

“I’m really excited that Lloyd has signed. Everyone I speak to about him always says how impressed they are with him and he’s a real prospect.

“Jack has already played a lot of games at this level and, with more coaching on the 3G pitch, he’s only going to get better.

“He’s also great with his feet, which helps us to play out from the back.

“Will and Harvey are both ambitious and want to be the best that they can be.

“They have good work ethics and are always looking to improve.

“There’s a lot to look forward to next season and I can’t wait to get going.”
