Rebels' under-21 team crowned champions

Worthing Football Club's under-21 team were crowned Ryman League South Division champions last night.

Bob Paine’s young Rebels side clinched the title with two games to spare with a 5-1 win away to Herne Bay.

Omar Bugiel, who is currently serving a first-team suspension, netted four times and Jack Barnes scored from the penalty spot on his birthday.

The victory was Rebels’ 16th from 24 league games this season and they sit 14 points clear of second-placed Whyteleafe.
