Newhaven are through to the quarter-final of the Division Two Challenge Cup after a 4-1 win at Rustington on Saturday.
Despite numerous chances the Dockers only led by one at half-time, Naim Rouane finishing well when through one-on-one.
The hosts hit back in the second half when Steve Kirkham found the net with a cool finish.
But an own goal and two from Lee Robinson in the last 15 minutes gave Newhaven the victory that sees them play either Steyning Town or Midhurst & Easebourne in the next round.
Newhaven made one change from the team that started the victory at Oakwood last time out. Mark Probert, despite hitting a hat-trick at Tinsley Lane, dropped to the bench, and Ebou Jallow started on the left.
Daniel Murray, Jason Edwards and Tom Stevenson joined Probert on the bench.
Newhaven, second in Division 2, return to league action this weekend when they are away to Westfield, kick off at the earlier time of 2pm.
Newhaven: Leach, Goddard (Murray), Edwards, Knight, Beale, Breach, Altendorff (Probert), Watton, Robinson, Rouane, Jallow.
