With the selection criteria stating players must be 35 or over, expect to see a mixture of recent crowd favourites such as Duncan Jupp alongside the legends from the past.

The team will be managed by the veteran Jack Pearce, and although Jamie Howell said he was upset he was too young to play, he may be available act as a ball-boy if first-team training finishes in time.

Rumours that Michael Birmingham is too old for the vets have been shot down by sources close to the midfielder.

Admission will be free, although a bucket collection will be taken.

The clubhouse and canteen will be open as normal.
