Rocks Review: Youth team are up and running

The new Rocks youth team are up and running '“ and appealing for fans to get along to home matches and support them.

The under-18 side kicked off their Ryman Youth League fixtures with a 3-0 defeat at home to Burgess Hill at Nyewood Lane last night (Wednesday).

Manager Mike Wood said he was pleased with pre-season, which had involved a hectic period of trials and matches which ended with a large pool of players being whittled down to a squad of 22.

Bognor first faced West Sussex League premier division side Newtown Villa’s first team and lost 5-1, but learned a lot from it.

The Rocks youngsters beat Clymping under-18s 4-1 and Felpham Colts under-18s 8-1.

The squad of 22 have been registered with the club and league.
