Lewes face Ryman Premier League rivals Lowestoft Town in their first tie of the FA Carlsberg Trophy next season.
The Rooks will face a tough challenge against the side that started last season as joint favourites (along with Lewes) for the Ryman Premier title that was eventually won by Billericay Town.
But Simon Wormull’s men will be pleased to have been handed a home draw, thus avoiding a gruelling seven-hour round trip to the most easterly part of the British Isles, where the Trawlerboys are located in north Suffolk.
That tie and all the others in the First Round Qualifying Round, is set to take place on Saturday, September 29. Winners receive £2,550.
