Rotary boost young Chichester City footballers

The team, known as the Greens, are thrilled with their new smart kit and showed it off to Rotarians in a training session which they have organised especially.
Team manager Paul Boiling said they all looked great in the kit and they were grateful to Rotary for supporting them both at local and district level for a period of two years.

Jenie Pressdee, who chairs the Rotary Club’s youth committee, is delighted to have been involved in such a worthwhile project which will enhance the players’ self-confidence and pride.

Hide AdHere they went 1-0 up through Ayling and quickly added a second through Hains after neat passing followed a defensive clearance from Weaver, involving Devlin, Grocott, Carruthers, Hall, and Montague.
Lewis got one back for Colts before Hains once more danced through the defence to be clipped from behind in the penalty box. He promptly got up to dispatch away from the keeper making it 3-1.
Grocott hit the post when clean through, Montague hit the bar and the Colts keeper pulled off fine saves to keep the score down.
After a clearing tackle from Tomkins, passes through Lennox, Carruthers, and Grocott set up Ayling for Selsey’s fourth - then Hains dispatched high into the net to claim his hat-trick and make it five before Swain pulled back a consolation for Colts to complete the scoring at 5-2.

Hide AdMoM Hall played out of position in defence and didn’t put a foot wrong.
Midhurst and Easebourne U13s are looking to recruit new players. They play in the A division of the Arun and Chichester Youth Football League. Training is on Wednesday evenings with matches played on Sunday mornings.
