The all-Sussex County Football League Division One tie is scheduled to take place at The Lashmar on Saturday December 7 with a place in the last 32 at stake for the winners.

EP are 10 points clear at the top of the league having won 12 and drawn one of their 13 matches. Rye are down in 12th, some 22 points behind their opponents with a game in hand. The teams were ironically due to meet in the league on the same date as the Vase tie.

Rye booked their place in the last 64 for the third time in four seasons courtesy of a 3-0 victory at home to Cove on Saturday, while EP went one better with a 4-0 success away to Knaphill.

The draw means that the Sussex County League is guaranteed to be represented in the national competition come the new year. The other Sussex team still going, Eastbourne United AFC, will visit Cray Valley or South Park.
