Worthing Rebels Youth Blue 2 Summerley Park Rangers 6

Summerley travelled to Worthing to face an in-form Rebels team but continued their impressive run of wins with a well-disciplined performance in a lively game.

They missed more chances than they scored, with the long grass not helping.

Worthing Rebels were dangerous on the break, but their wingers were unable to find that crucial final ball, rarely troubling Sargeant in the Rangers goal.

In-form Summerley striker Mepham scored twice with Ashmore, Millard and Hand scoring one apiece.

The goal of the game was a sweet left-foot, long-range strike from the ever-impressive Hawker.

Man of the match Kilhams produced another tireless performance in the middle of the park. The win puts Summerley top of the league once more.

Barnham Trojan Pumas 0 Bognor Allstars 2

Bognor Allstars produced their best performance of the season so far, with a win over a side strengthened by players from their East Sussex side.

The first half produced excellent football by both sides. Bognor keeper Mitchel Cane and the back three of Matt Morris, Luca Smith and Joe Jones kept Barnham at bay.

The second half saw Bognor start the stronger and create chances. The midfield four of Charlie Osborne, Scott Bingham, Micheal Canavan and Jordan Martin worked tirelessly to prevent Barnham’s midfield taking control and the front three of Liam Morley, George Bingham and Owain Dynan kept their defence on their toes.

Their reward came in the 40th minute when great work down the wing created a chance for Morley who sidefooted the ball into the bottom corner.

Barnham had there chances to level but failed to capatilise on chances created and a great save from Cane kept the score at 1-0.

Bognor sealed the win ten minutes from time when great work by George Bingham, Scott Bingham and Jordan Martin opened up Barnham’s defence with Martin capping a fine display with a debut goal.

Regis Rebels 1 Felpham Colts Athletic 6

Another hat-trick by Harry Salt and a fine all-round team performance saw Felpham come out convincing winners.

But for excellent goalkeeping from Tommy Schneider, it could have been far worse for Rebels.

A first-half double from Ben Reilly was a superb example of clinical finishing and Felpham went in at half-time 3-0 up.

Felpham’s defence held out thanks to Alex and Tom Whiter. A second assist from Viren Chudasama saw Ed Sargent clean through on goal, making it 4-0 with a composed finish.

Salt was a menace all match with his pace and strength and despite spurning several opportunities wrapped up things with two further goals, one from an outstanding through-ball from Jack Whiter, before the Rebels nabbed a late consolation.

Predators Youth 0 Barnham Trojans Red 1

Predators’ interest in the Challenge Cup ended in a hard-fought encounter with the league leaders.

The Predators midfield, in particular Josh Simmonds, gave the defence protection and the only threats Barnham created were from long balls over the top or speculative long shots which keeper Connor Fellows dealt with.

The downside was Predators were unable create many chances themselves as Barnham packed their defence.

Ashley Butler and Alex Burford carved out good chances for themselves in the box but were unable to convert them.

Barnham broke the deadlock at the start of the second half from a breakaway as their striker outpaced the Predators defence to slot home.

Neither side looked like scoring after that.

Chichester City Youth 10 Worthing Minors Athletic 0

Tough talking and tactics outlined by the Chichester coaching team to prevent the costly mistakes of the previous week paid early dividends.

The back line of Harry Lidster, Joseph Chuter, Matthew Hall and George Conway pulled together to stifle any attacking play from Worthing.

In midfield Jay Clarke and Tom Burden took advantage of the strength of the back four to set up a number of chances which came within a whisker of opening the score.

Chichester hit the woodwork twice and pressed for most of the half but could not find the net. Tom Knight in goal kept the score at 0-0 at half-time.

Having struggled to put away their chances, Chichester suddenly worked out how.

Almost from the start of the second half, Josh Airton scored two quickly-taken goals. Minutes later Justin Thorpe laid off an excellent pass to Alex Smith to score the third.

This opened the floodgates and everyone wanted to score - Clarke, Justin Thorpe and Airton scoring in quick succession to make it 6-0.

Worthing hearts sank and Chichester continued to find the net with strikes from Josh Hubbard, with the goal of the game a fantastic long-range shot from outside the area beating everyone.

Airtonand Hubbard scored again and Conway rounded it off.

Man of the match was Knight for his excellent display in the first-half.
