Seagulls looking to swoop on strike pair?

Brighton are interested in Charlton goal-grabber Bradley Wright-Phillips and could move for the hitman in January.

Reports coming from the Valley suggest the Albion’s manager Gustavo Poyet has had scouts watching the marksman throughout the season and could enter a bidding war with Leicester City in the coming weeks – although interest from the East Midlands could cool as Jermaine Beckford returns to full fitness.

Another striker rumoured to be attracting attention from the Amex hierarchy is Coventry City’s Lukas Jutkiewicz.

The 22-year-old was at Swindon at the same time as Poyet and has impressed in the Coventry attack.

However, former Crystal Palace player Andy Thorn has said he will not be looking to cash in on his team’s prize asset.

Earlier this year the Coventry number one valued the striker at £2million plus.

He told the Coventry Evening Telegraph, “He’s got a few more years left on his contract and he’s a big, young talent who I am pleased we have got.

“He’s certainly worth a lot of money, that’s for sure.”

Earlier this week Brighton were linked to Stevenage forward Craig Reid.
