Clifford’s side snatched a victory against Uckfield Town on Saturday thanks to Dave McNeil’s last minute winner on Saturday. Clifford said: “We maybe unbeaten after two games but I don’t really look at the table until after six or seven games.

“If we hadn’t got that last minute winner we would have gone two games without a win - the lines are very fine!”

He said: “Saturday was an archetypal game of two halves.

“They were the better team at pretty much everything in the first half but our lads responded well in the second half and played much better.

“A draw would have probably been a fair result but I am happy we snatched all three points.”
