Rooks fans will have to wait just a little bit longer to find out the identity of Lewes Football Club’s new manager.
The club’s Board has experienced difficulties contacting people due to the half term holidays, and an announcement on the new first team coach is now expected “before next weekend”.
A message on the club website read: “The Community Board along with Chairman Steve Ibbitson have been working daily towards appointing a new Manager for Lewes FC.
“However, half-term holiday availability has led to a small delay in completing the selection process.
“An appointment is now expected before next weekend.
“The Board fully understands just how keen everyone is to complete the appointment of the new Rooks boss and is doing everything possible towards this end.”
The original 25 applications had been whittled down to three candidates by last weekend.
