The soaring Rooks had their wings clipped by Grays Athletic for the second time in 10 days, going down to a lacklustre 1-0 defeat, writes Barry Collins.

Having dispensed with the top two in successive matches at the Pan, talk of a late play-offs push was the subject of Garry Wilson’s programme notes and much pre-match chatter in the Rook Inn. Yet, the Rooks sadly failed to show even a glimpse of the form that secured victories over Dulwich and Maidstone.
