HAILSHAM Town signed off from Division Two in fine style, with a 3-1 win away at Dorking Wanderers.
The Stringers, who confirmed second place last week, cruised to a comfortable victory over the side who would finish in third place, thanks to three second half goals.
Goalless at the interval, Shane Saunders notched early in the second half, for his 22nd of the season, before Danny Leach’s 35th of a remarkable campaign put Hailsham two up.
Seasoned campaigner Paul Richardson would also net, whilst at the other end Dorking pulled one back with three minutes to go through Leroy Hyett to leave Hailsham finishing with 35 conceded in the league – second in the defensive stakes only to winners East Preston.
The season may be over, but there will still be plenty going on at The Beaconsfield before the Division One campaign kicks off in August.
The Annual Presentation evening takes place on May 19, while pre-season friendlies have already booked for July.
The club are also seeking new faces behind the scenes, with important roles to be filled at a club which is clearly going places. Contact John Williams at email@example.com for more information.
