Ringmer bounced back from their weekend 4-0 defeat at Hailsham with a fine 3-1 win at Sidley United on Tuesday.

The three goals were more than enough to move the Blues up to joint second on points – but it could have been twice that had they found their shooting boots on the evening.

Ringmer dominated the first half but failed to put away their many chances. The second half, however, saw goals come from Matt Percival, Marc Whiteman and Scott Marshall.

Sidley came into the game in the last quarter and scored a consolation from Andy Hales.

Hailsham Town lost 2-1 at Horsham YMCA on Tuesday.

Town trailed to a 21st minute own goal before Jamie Salvidge levelled on half time. But the hosts got a winner through Martin Smith. Peacehaven were two down with five minutes to play in their RUR Cup tie with Littlehampton on Wednesday before two goals from Ashley Rees sent the game into extra time, where a Craig Bunch goal won it.
