Steve Strange said: "Great game, Tubbs & Barnett playing well, oops I mean Watters and Nicholls. The team reminded me of those heady days of years ago. Well played Reds and credit to the Boss!!"

Ian Nicoll posted: "It's the first time I've seen the lads on I follow. Very impressed with the work ethics, everyone gave 100 per cent. Shame about the injury and the sending off, it will give others a chance to shine, well done lads, even more happy with the result."

Matt Putland posted: "At the start of the season I was far from convinced with the squad. The midfield had no creativity and scoring goals looked difficult with the attackers available.

"Since then the club have added Hesketh (a big loss for 3 games now) and Hessenthaler who are a huge upgrade on Bulman and Ferguson in terms of ability on the ball and there is far better football being played as a result.

"The signings of Nichols and Watters have added goals and a threat up top too. Both of them look dangerous and capable of scoring every game right now.

"Kudos to the club for enhancing the squad with these players. Some good results and good football with it. Long may it continue."

Steve Herbert replied: "Brilliantly put Matt, massive result today!"
