Despite finishing goalless, both sides had a hatful of chances in a very entertaining match at the People’s Pension Stadium.

Once again, it’s another decent showing against a side at the top end of League Two and John Yems admits his side showed plenty of character to take a point.

“It’s a compliment to the boys, with the injuries and the suspensions we’ve got," the Crawley Town boss said. "A few tired bodies out there, but we won’t give in.

“Some of the points we’ve gained off the teams at the play-offs and above…it might stand us in good stead for next year.

“We’re learning all the time. We’ve taken four points off them [Forest Green] this season. If only, but there you go. Onwards and upwards.

For the Reds, it was another clean sheet as Yem's side showed themselves to be defensively resolute once again, despite the growing injury list across the pitch. For Yems, it was an impressive showing considering how stretched the squad is.

“He’s not match-fit yet George [Francomb] that's why we had to take him off. We missed [James] Tilley today, Jordan Maguire-Drew picked up a knock…[there's] a couple of the others.

"[Still] the boys put in a shift and we never gave in.”

A hard-earned point leaves Crawley comfortably mid-table with two games to go. Up next, the Reds travel to Stevenage Town, before hosting Bolton Wanderers in the final match of the season in two weeks time.
