A Dave Marsh goal after 17 minutes was enough for the visitors to claim all three points and Swans boss Nigel Dyer admitted his side weren’t at their best.

“It was a tired performance from us after four games in ten days, one of those going to extra time and pens,” Dyer said.

“We lacked the pace and energy we have shown in previous games. But I am not taking anything away from Mile Oak as I thought they played well.

“A very direct style of football which suits them. I can see them doing well this season, but felt we can play a lot better then that.”

After their opening day win over Midhurst and penalty shoot-out cup win against Bexhill, Storrington have now narrowly lost three league games, each by a single goal in what has been a hectic start to the new season.

Dyer added: “(We are a) bit walking wounded after the four games, so the lads will have a break from training on Thursday to recharge their batteries and rest a few knocks before another tough test against highly rated Loxwood on Saturday.”

Swans: Downer, Minter, Setchell, Elliott, Jarvis, Watton, Rhodie (McWilton), Howard, Warner, Garrett (Robertshaw), Ayres (Hobdon).
