The Ryman League are considering an allegation that crisis club Farnborough deliberately got relegated from the Conference South into the Ryman Premier to avoid repaying massive debts.

If Farnborough were to be relegated again into the Ryman South as a result of a possible punishment, then the Magpies could be allowed to stay up in their place.

Coade said: “We don’t know anything at all, we are just gearing up for pre-season as normal.

“It’s just rumours and there’s nothing concrete. We really don’t know anything that’s going on and have not heard anything from the league.

“The fixtures are due out on July 15 so we would have to know of any reprieve before that. It could affect our recruitment policy.

“They (the league) will have to make a decision soon if anything is to happen to us for next season, otherwise we will just assume we will be playing in the Ryman South.”

The Ryman League is due to meet this Friday and will discuss whether or not Farnborough managed to avoid paying £1 million in debts by deliberately getting relegated from the Conference South into the Ryman Premier.

They have been accused of finding a loophole by being in the lower league which meant they could avoid paying their CVA.

The Ryman League will need to decide if they need to punish Farnborough further.

This could come either in the form of a ten-point deduction or a second relegation into the Ryman South, which could open the door for the Magpies to stay up.
