Tough trip for Hastings

After being without a fixture last weekend, United will resume their Ryman Football League Division One South campaign away to third-placed Merstham looking to complete back-to-back wins.

United are 17th in Ryman Football League Division One South - some 29 points behind their opponents - but only one team outside the top seven has won more matches away from home.

United manager Nigel Kane said: “It’ll be a tough ask. There’s only been one match in which they haven’t scored a home goal and they’ve been probably the best side I’ve seen at The Pilot Field this season.

“We’ve played a lot more like a unit recently and I’ve seen the players have more belief. We’re going to need a big performance.”

The game may come slightly too soon for injured midfielder Fraser Logan, who underwent treatment this week. Ashley-Paul Robinson is expected to return to the squad after featuring for the under-21s on Monday.
