Having had their last three scheduled games and four of their last six called-off due to waterlogged pitches, the Ryman Football League Division One South game at home to Chipstead next Monday night has now become the latest casualty.

Chipstead’s Surrey County Cup third round tie at home to Woking last night (Tuesday) was postponed and is now being played next Tuesday, meaning their trip to The Pilot Field is off.

It’s not the first time this season United have had a league game postponed to make way for their opponents playing a county cup fixture. In the early part of the campaign, the home match against Folkestone Invicta was called-off because the opposition had a Kent Senior Cup encounter.

United, whose last outing was the dramatic 3-2 win at home to Burgess Hill Town on Saturday December 28, will next host in-form leaders Peacehaven & Telscombe on Saturday. Kick-off is 3pm.
