United will host Chatham Town in Ryman Football League Division One South fresh off Tuesday night’s magnificent 5-0 win over third-placed Carshalton Athletic which moved them into the play-off places.

Darren Hare’s side now occupies the final play-off place of fifth and United are just three points behind Carshalton with two games in hand.

But it’s all very tight. Just six points separate Carshalton and eighth-placed Lewes, although United do have the advantage of possessing a far better goal difference than all of the teams around them.

United’s form is nothing short of excellent. They’ve won all of their last five games without conceding a goal and have picked up 19 points from a possible 21.

On top of that, they and leaders Tooting & Mitcham United are the joint highest scorers in the top eight tiers of English football with 101 league goals apiece.

By contrast, third-bottom Chatham have picked up just two points from their last six matches and were hammered 7-0 at home to United in November’s reverse fixture. Kick-off at The Pilot Field is 3pm.
