Victory away to Kingstonian in the Ryman Football League Premier Division would put United above Carshalton Athletic and within a point of a Lewes side which occupies the final safe spot of third-from-bottom.

United slipped to the foot of the standings following a single goal defeat away to Bognor Regis Town on Saturday after losing striker Zac Attwood to injury in the first 10 minutes. Kingstonian are eight points outside the play-offs in 10th place having won five and lost five of their 10 games since the end of February.

Kingstonian are one of two sides United are yet to meet this season with the reverse fixture at The Pilot Field scheduled for the final day of the campaign on Saturday April 27.

The game was due to have taken place on a Monday night last month, but was postponed after the United team coach crawled barely a mile up the road as snow brought many of the area’s routes to a standstill.

United will be desperate to address a record of just five league wins all season and only four goals in their last eight matches. Kick-off at Kingsmeadow is 7.45pm. The reserves are also in action tonight with a trip to Walton & Hersham in Suburban Premier B.
