Dan Perry hit the back of the net twice for his first two goals for the club as Peacehaven went down at Molesey.

The Magpies gave debuts to four players and had a further five injured or unavailable.

Haven took the lead on 31 minutes through Dan Perry but only held on to it for two minutes before the home side equalised.

By half time Molesey had extended their to lead to 3-1. And then on 59 minutes Stainlaus made it 4-1 and Molesey looked home and dry.

But with five minutes left, Perry got his second to give the Magpies hope.

The lads worked very hard and should have got a result. The wins will come.

Even though the Magpies are going through their third team re-build of the season, the signs looked good and Haven were unlucky not to come away with something from the game against second placed Molesey.

Manager Simon Colbran said: “The lads worked very hard and should have got a result. The wins will come.”

Striker Dan Perry said: “We deserved more from the game, but it’s good to be back scoring.”

And captain and debutant Fraser Logan concluded: “We were unlucky to loose today, but I enjoyed my debut. We should have scored more and I should have got on the score sheet.”

Final score 4-2.
