Westfield Football Club manager Jethro Warren offers his views on the 1-0 defeat at home to Bexhill United on Saturday.
Warren also looks ahead to the club’s Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup quarter-final away to Crowborough Athletic tonight (Tuesday). Kick-off is 7.30pm.
Although Southern Counties East League outfit Crowborough play their football one level higher up the non-league pyramid than Macron Store Sussex County League Division Two side Westfield, the Westies have won away to Sussex Division One clubs Eastbourne United AFC and East Preston to reach this stage.
If they can spring a third surprise tonight, Westfield will earn a semi-final showdown against Ringmer or Loxwood, who are due to contest their quarter-final tonight as well.
