Hastings United manager Terry White gives his reaction to the football club’s agonising play-off defeat last night (Tuesday).
The U’s were edged out 3-2 after extra-time away to Folkestone Invicta in a dramatic Ryman Football League Division One South play-off semi-final with the winner coming in the form of a freak own goal.
It was cruel on a United side which produced a splendid performance, twice coming from behind to equalise thanks to goals from Tim Olorunda and Sam Adams, and which was on top at the time of Folkestone’s winner.
