We deserve criticism but believe we can turn things around - Duffy

Defender Shane Duffy admits Brighton & Hove Albion's players deserve criticism for their recent form but is backing them to turn things around.

Albion suffered a fifth successive defeat without scoring when they lost 2-0 at home to fellow strugglers Cardiff last night.

The result moved the Bluebirds to within two points of Brighton who are just outside the relegation places.

Duffy tweeted after the game: "Criticism is part of football and we all deserve it at the minute and (are) all big enough to take it on the chin.

"It don’t mean we won’t give up on this fight to turn things around to stay in this league. It's a tough period but we believe in each other to turn it around."
