Rebels, second in the Ryman League South Division, entertain Common, who are seventh in Division 1 of the Southern Combination League, with a 7.45pm kick-off at Woodside Road.

Elphick admits he would love to get to the final, which is played at Brighton & Hove Albion’s Amex Stadium, but is first fully focused on Little Common, who beat higher-division Arundel 5-1 in the third round last week.

He said: “We’ll look to get minutes into the likes of Brannon O’Neill, Ryan Quirke, Jack Barnes and Callum Overton but we won’t be taking Little Common lightly as we want to progress.

“We’re in the quarter-finals and it’s a fantastic chance for us to try to get to the Amex.

“I played there in the final for Lewes last season and we were embarrassed a little bit against Whitehawk. It was a fantastic occasion, though, and I’d love the chance to go back there with this team and our fans.”
