Why Bexhill College bosses watched FA Cup tie with pride

Dan Blackmore, who is in his third year at the college and studying personal training after completing his sport BTEC, captained Sussex under-18s last season and was part of the Borough squad who took on the Seasiders.

College alumni James Vaughan was in the starting XI and Leone Gravata came on as a late substitute.

Vaughan studied level three sport science and his FA level two coaching awards at the college.

Gravata studied level two and three sport science and represented Borough and Langney Wanderers in his time at the college.

Bexhill College with great pride and all three of the boys deserve great credit for their continued hard work in pursuing their footballing ambitions.

“We hope current and future academy players can draw inspiration from the three players and use it as motivation to try to push themselves as much as possible within both their footballing and academic careers here at the college.

“The cup tie serves as a great example to all of our academy players that if they are willing to work hard then they will be rewarded for this.

“The college continues to invest heavily within our football academy in both time and facilities and we are very proud to be associated with the club.”
