Will the Albion Get Carter? Decision day for Poyet and midfielder
Gustavo Poyet will decide today whether to add Darren Carter to his stable of midfielders.
The 27-year-old former Birmingham City, Sunderland and West Brom star was released by Preston at the end of last season and failed in a bid to get a new deal at St Andrews after two months of trying to impress Brum boss Chris Hughton.
He is a free agent after being let go by Preston after the Lancashire club was forced to cut its cloth following relegation to League One.
Carter has been on trial at The Amex and will discover his fate today before considering his future and deciding whether to relocate to the south coast.
