The Wales under-21 international signed a one-year contract at the Checkatrade Stadium earlier today.

He played 24 games and made a good impression at centre-back last season after initially joining on loan from Ipswich Town.

But with the Championship side releasing the 21-year-old former Cardiff City player at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, Dermot Drummy was quick to offer him a new deal.

Yorwerth is excited to be back and Reds and said: “I really enjoyed last season with the club. I played a lot of games and gained valuable experience.

“It was obviously disappointing to be released by Ipswich but when the new Gaffer said he wanted to sign me I was happy to come back to Crawley.

“I’m really excited about next season. He has got some great plans on how he wants us to play and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
