Loxwood under-18s continued their defence of the Sussex County Cup with a comprehensive 7-1 win over Broad Oak on Sunday.

The young Magpies eased past their visitors in the quarter-finals to book a last-four spot with Burgess Hill.

Loxwood on the competition last year on penalties and continued their good run this term in solid style.

Strikes from Joel Colbran, Harry Bachelor (two), Reece Hallard, Rhyan Ramsey, Harry Lloyd and an own goals completed the scoring in the Dennis Probee Youth Cup clash.

Manager Mark Beard was delighted with his side’s showing, and said: “The boys did really well in what was a good win.

“We now face Burgess Hill in the semi-finals, so are looking forward to that game.”
