This was a salutary lesson for Predators as they were comprehensively outplayed by a much stronger team.

Predators opened the scoring when Brendon Williams ran with the ball from his own half before slipping it past the keeper.

Worthing asserted their dominance as they over-ran the Predators defence scoring seven goals in quick succession before Williams headed his second just before half-time.

Predators reorganised with Jordan Smith and Alex Burford taking over at the heart of the defence, allowing Dom Humphries to move into midfield.

They started to see more of the ball and managed to get back into the game with Williams scoring a further three goals in quick succession. However, as Predators pushed forward Worthing came back strongly to complete the scoring with another three goals.

Predators: Fellows, Burford, Butler, Clarke, Daniels, Donner, Hamilton, Hanslip, Humphries, McCabe, Smith, Williams.

Whyke Utd 2 Chichester Colts 11

After a poor defeat, Chichester bounced back to crush local rivals Whyke.

The defence held their own for the majority of the game and left little for keeper Brandon Baxter to be concerned with.

Goals came thick and fast for Colts with Dylan Smith, Regan Hawkins, Joesph Roman & Fynn Turner-Kilburn on target. The entire team was named man of the match for a stunning team performance that sees Colts second in the table.

The Colts entertained the Seals at a packed Priory Park in the Challenge Cup.

The first half ended goalless but the second half saw the Colts make an early breakthrough.

They scored again soon after that, then started to show what they’re capable of with two magnificent headers from Jake O’Brennan, who netted five in total.

Only the efforts of the Selsey goalkeeper kept the score down.

Chances at the other end fell to Ewan Lennox, Rhys Grocott and Luke Ayling.

Worthing scored after ten minutes with a well-taken finish which gave Jones no chance while the second came from a well-worked move just before half-time.

The second half brought a better effort from Selsey with Daniel Sherlock and Warwick Trumper defending well. Eddie Montague moved into midfield and showed some good footwork.

A break in the box saw Ayling unleash a shot which was heading for the top corner until the intervention of a hand from a defender. Ayling dispatched the penalty.

As Worthing attacked, a cruel spin decieved Jones and a Worthing striker had a simple tap-in.

Man of the match was Jones.
