Rebels star striker enjoyed his cracking debut as the result of an effective all-round team performance, driven by the probing of diminutive, all-action pair, Darren Baxter and Danny Davis, and support of kingpin Paul Kennett.

Wing-backs Danny Smith and Mark Knee combined attack and defence when required and the back three of Simon James, Andrew Beech and Stuart Tuck kept their concentration when it mattered, so keeper James Wastell had a quiet day.
