The Easter Eggstravaganza Raceday is aimed at the whole family with plenty of sideshows complementing a seven-race card which has 67 runners.

With Storm Katie forcing a lot of non-runners over Easter weekend, there will be plenty of horses raring to race.

The racing begins at 1.40pm with the Malcolm ‘Hairy’ Roberts & Pepe Rufino Memorial Novices’ Hurdle and continues untril 5.10pm and the Introducing The Baron To ChancelloroftheFormChecker Standard Open NH Flat Race.

Off the track, there’s an Easter zoo, the Easter bunny, a fun fair, face painting and bouncy castles, so the kids will be entertained on this great day out. All entertainment is free.

There’s the return of the very popular Easter egg hunt and the top prize is a family pass to Legoland Windsor worth £240. Adult tickets start from only £12 and kids under 18 go free.

Max Roberts, Fontwell’s marketing manager, said: “Every year the Easter egg hunt is one of the most popular attractions. The children love hunting all the eggs and everyone gets a chocolate surprise at the end.”
