Gander bids to stop YMCA from celebrating

WICK FC manager Andy Gander hopes to stop Horsham YMCA from picking up the point they need to retain their County League crown on Saturday.

In each of the last four seasons, Gander has seen opponents become champions against one of his sides.

He said: "Last year, Crowborough won the Division 2 title when we played them and we came runners-up. The season before, Littlehampton won Division 2 and before that, when I was in charge at Lancing, Rye also won Division 2.

"We'll be trying our best to prevent that from happening again. Horsham only need a point but it will also depend on how Ringmer get on at Whitehawk."
