GANDER PLANS AHEAD

WICK Football Club are returning to the top flight of Sussex football after two seasons in County League Division 2. Andy Gander took over as manager in the summer of 2003, and after finishing fourth in his debut season, they have secured runners-up spot this year behind Crowborough.

Ahead of their final game of the season, at home to fourth-placed St Francis Rangers on Saturday, Gander said: "The aim this year was to get promotion and the lads have done that with time to spare which is a massive achievement."

See this week's Littlehampton Gazette for full interview with Andy Gander.
