GANDER'S AWAY DELIGHT

WICK Football Club bounced back from three successive defeats without scoring, with a thumping win away to Sidley United on Saturday.

After being given the runaround in a one-sided 3-0 defeat at Shoreham, Wick responded in a way which delighted manager Andy Gander.

Kane Evans, with his second goal of the season, gave Wick the lead on 28 minutes. Danny Curd was brought down just after crossing from the right but the referee allowed play to go on, and after Curd's cross had gone over Sidley's keepers head and hit the bar, Evans headed a difficult chance home from eight yards.
