Get expert help preparing for Chichester's 10k

If you are running the Chichester Priory 10k for the first time or returning to sport after a lengthy absence, organisers are offering a support programme to prepare you.

The first session was held at Westgate Leisure before Christmas, which will be followed by coaching sessions for the beginner on Sundays in January, starting on January 8.

These will give you basic preparations for the race. Each session will last up to 90 minutes and will be based at Westgate Leisure, starting at 10am.

They will be led by a student from the University of Chichester specialising in sports sciences.

Each session will include advice on areas such as shoes, clothing, exercise, diet, race preparation and pre-race briefing.

This will be followed by a short run with the distance increasing each week.

If you are interested in joining the sessions and have proof of entry to the 10k, send an email to co-ordinator Graham Jessop at [email protected] with basic details about yourself, including a contact number.
