Gill going great guns - as 10k win proves

Building on his success of the past few weeks, Tone Zone Runner Simon Gill (pictured) had his first win at the Littlehampton 10k.

It followed his fifth place at the Arundel 10k and second at the Stanstead Park half marathon.

On the first half of the course, runners had the assistance of a tail wind – but they paid for this on the return section when they had to battle against strong westerly winds along the promenade to the finish.

The runners were tested further when the course ended up being 11.5k and not the intended 10k, but this didn’t stop Gill having a clear win and finishing in 42.33min.

Thirty-five members of the Bognor-based group took part.
