Goalkeeper crisis for Rooks

Lewes Football Club are likely to be forced to field an outfield player in goal for tonight's FA Trophy replay at Oxford United.

On- loan David Blackmore has been recalled by West Ham, Aaron France is recovering from a dislocated shoulder and Jack Stern has accepted a sports scholarship in the United States.

France is manager Steve King's only hope and the Lewes boss has asked the Football Association for special dispensation to sign a goalkeeper for the game but was refused.

A number of Rooks's players will take the field carrying knocks, with Jean-Michel Sigere, Simon Wormull, Paul Kennett and Lewis Hamilton all rated 50-50.
