Cowdray Park seniors held their popular Spring Texas scramble, featuring 18 teams of four. After a heavy mist had burnt off, conditions were idyllic, with warm sun, no wind and the course in fine condition.

The team of captain Bill Hummerston, Terry Jasper, Ray Dowse and Les Parker moved into second place but not for long.
