GOLF-SUSSEX FINISH FIFTH AS FOG ROLLS IN
SUSSEX Juniors took part in a South East Inter Counties qualifier recently at Sherringham when the team consisted of Darren Renwick (Worthing), Jack Bartlett (Worthing), Chris Jess, Mid Sussex, Adam Brown ( Royal Eastbourne)Nathan Parke ( Bognor), and Tim Cowley (Haywards Heath). Ali Dalgleish Haywards Heath) was reserve.
At the halfway stage Surrey and Kent led, 13 shots ahead of Sussex, but after lunch the fog rolled in and the weather changed.
Jack Bartlett of Worthing finished one over on 71, which was a great performance but Sussex in the end finished in fifth place with Surrey retaining the trophy.
