Cuckfield Golf Centre Club Championship - close call for ladies and gentlemen

A chilly, but lovely, early morning at Cuckfield Golf Centre saw a field of Ladies and Gentlemen take to the course for the Annual Club Championship.

Played over 18 holes this medal format event comes at the end of a full calendar of Summer competitions and matches.

The Men’s competition was tight at the top with four players on 65.

The trophy was awarded to Mark Weller on count back from Tim Crofts. Simon Hewett was third and Paul Ashman fourth.

There was a tie at the top of the Ladies competition as well with Hsien Power taking the prize with 67 on count back from Alison Smith. Judith Gallagher was third on 69.

All the participants enjoyed lunch after the event and took advantage of the warm sunshine whilst waiting for the players to complete their rounds.
